Mercedes CLS 2011 – beautiful second generation 4-door coupe
The Mercedes CLS was created in 2003 as a new category of vehicles which combined for the first time a sedan with a coupe.
The revolutionary Mercedes is already preparing for a second generation, which shall not depart greatly from the recipe that brought success. Will be preserved body four-door coupe with a look but will have in addition a hybrid engine. This will most likely be found and future so S400 Hybrid, with the launch at the end of next year. Instead, the model will be built on the S-Class – the current E-Class being developed, will be more elegant and generous.
It further noted that speaking in a massive machine that does not conceal its curved shape of the roof – but the front is hidden from prying eyes, the look of the Mercedes CLS 2011 will probably be a surprise for you.
For the second generation of spectacular proportions remain the same as before: long hood, narrow windows and side windows without frames, dynamic folding roof.
Element that attracts attention from the first view is the design front, similar to that of the Mercedes-Benz AMG SLS. From a visual standpoint, the grille is integrated into the hood, which highlights the amazing proportions bonnet.
The grid is dominated by the central star which points out the similarity with the other car’s coupe and marks the brand’s brand identity.
Another distinctive feature is full LED headlights, the first in the world that offers all the features of dynamic lighting through LED technology.
Five interior colors, five types of design and three categories of leather are available to clients.
“Customers worldwide have benefited from our bold decision to launch on the market a completely new vehicle concept,” says Dr. Joachim Schmidt excited, board member of Mercedes-Benz Cars, Sales and Marketing Division.
Four basic engines are available: 3.5-liter V6, with direct injection and 292 hp to 306 hp more power in 2012, a 5.5-liter V8 and 388 hp supercharged version with 435 hp and 570 hp the AMG version, plus a 3.0-liter diesel V6 and 224 hp will be replaced in 2012 by a more powerful engine, 313 hp.
Unlike the current technical solutions based on nickel batteries, new hybrid transmission for Mercedes CLS 2011 will be seconded by lithium-ion batteries, more efficient and easier.
